Project Overview – Damac Heights Renovation
Algebra Contracting completed a full renovation of this apartment in Damac Heights, with the main focus on creating a standout luxury kitchen. The project also included upgrades across the bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, ceilings, flooring, and custom joinery.
The goal was to modernize the apartment, improve layout efficiency, and introduce high-end finishes that complement the overall interior style of the building.
Signature Kitchen Transformation
The kitchen was the centrepiece of this renovation. The dividing wall between the kitchen and living space was removed to open up the layout and improve flow. The entire area was stripped out and rebuilt with new custom cabinetry, a feature island, and a striking backlit onyx installation that becomes the focal point of the home.
A combination of warm timber finishes, hidden storage, premium organizers, oak worktops, and bespoke lighting creates a clean yet luxurious look. New electrical and plumbing provisions were added to support the updated layout, along with pendant lighting and Technolight spotlights to enhance the visual impact of the illuminated onyx surfaces. The result is a modern showpiece kitchen that anchors the entire apartment design.
Bathroom Upgrades
The master, guest, and powder rooms were refreshed with new gypsum ceilings, updated lighting, illuminated mirrors, and clear tempered shower glass panels. Ventilation was improved with new exhaust systems, and selective tile installations were completed to enhance the overall look and feel. Each bathroom now has a clean, bright, and modern finish.
Custom Joinery & Built-In Features
Extensive custom-made joinery was installed throughout the apartment, including:
- Full-height wardrobes in the master and kids’ rooms
- Integrated TV walls in the living room and bedrooms
- A feature bed wall in the master bedroom
- A shoe-storage bench and cladded entry unit in the entrance lobby
All units were built using high-quality materials with painted finishes, soft-close mechanisms, internal lighting, and premium fittings. These additions maximize storage while maintaining a uniform, modern aesthetic.
Ceiling & Lighting Enhancements
New gypsum ceilings with bulkheads and hidden lighting were installed in the living room, bedrooms, corridors, and entrance areas. Dimmable spotlights, strip lights, and chandelier provisions were added throughout to maintain a soft, warm lighting environment that complements the materials used, especially the kitchen onyx.
Flooring & Painting
SPC parquet flooring was installed across the apartment to bring warmth and uniformity, paired with new PVC skirting. All walls and ceilings were repainted using Jotun Fenomastic finishes, giving the interior a fresh, clean look.
Electrical, Mechanical & Other Works
The renovation included new Legrand switches and sockets with USB A & C, AC servicing, and replacement of copper piping with PPR piping on the main water supply line. These upgrades ensure reliability and ease of maintenance.
Project Completion
The renovated Damac Heights apartment now features a modern open layout with a standout backlit onyx kitchen as its central feature.
The combination of custom joinery, new lighting, upgraded bathrooms, and consistent premium finishes results in a clean, contemporary home with a strong design identity.
